Road Rally 08!!...Success!

Last month, we hosted our 'Roanoke Road Rally'! It was so much fun, and as usual, a BLAST to plan! So here's a few pix, along with some of the questions or things they had to do! I was holding out for more pix from other camera's, (including most creative team picture) but I'm not getting them! (a hem) so I thought I'd just post this without 'em. I'm not sure why, but I never took any pictures of the whole group or at our place around the campfire?!? I'll have to do a better job next year ;)

~ with the Caesy's clerk - she was so funny - when I stopped in a few nights before & she was the one scheduled to work, she was SO excited! She told me: "i'll be sure to wear my make-up!" I hung out there catching video & pic's of the teams coming & going, & i don't know how many times she said 'you made my night', or 'this is so fun!' :)

Here's how it went: 6 teams of 4. Each team had a camera & list of things to do/find/etc. With only 45 min, they had to do whatever they could in that time. Harder 'tasks' were worth more pts.
The 5 catagories:
* Come & Find Me
* what color is the gazing ball at (address)
* which letter is broken on the front of the P.O.
* How much is a jar of McCormick's Pickling Spice @ the IGA, and what is the 5th ingredient?
* Find 2 Roanoke Employee's who have/had a pet & write the type/names of their pets
* What color gazing ball is at (address)
...etc...
* How Many?
* how many parking blocks are in the North parking lot of the Park?
* how many boards make up the floor of the bridge in the park? (there were 83!)
* how many houses on both sides of (specified street) have a covered front porch?
* how many calories are in 1 serving of Prarie Farms Chocolate Ice cream? ...etc.
* Trivia
* Name all the books of the Bible beginning with E
* What is the max weight permitted for a bowling ball?
* List the 6 kids, the mom & dad, and the maid of 'The Brady Bunch'
* Fill in the blanks: (for i am persuaded that neither ________ nor ________, nor _________ nor __________...etc)
*What is the 31st book of the Old Testament?
* What are Chad & Kristy's Middle names??
* Pictures
* Roadkill

* Team Picture...most creative = 2 bonus pts (winning team was outside the Catholic Church with someone on 2 teammates creating a 'Mary' statue, and another team memb. 'worshiping' it - so sorry if I've just upset/offended anyone) hey...it was creative! team # 4 made the # 4 by laying on a driveway...i wish these teams would've emailed me their pic's...hmm...if your reading this, it's not too late! :)

* Pointing to box # 567 in the P.O.
* entire team in the bathroom of the Pizza Place
* entire team standing like a different statue
* with someone over 60 (1 team stopped and asked my MOM...yeah, she wasn't happy...she's only 5#!)
* With the Caesy's clerk - then she had a question (which was a sheet with 12 pictures- 6 actresses & 6 actors. team had to name all 12 before they could leave)

* their team flag (had to find them in my mom's backyard)

* 5 different types of leaves
* 3 different items with team # printed on it (on a flier/label, etc)
* pebble from the park playground ...etc...

Those are some examples. It was lots of fun hanging-out somewhere & seeing the teams coming & going & all stressed out. =) MAYBE...just MAYBE you'll get to see those other team pix if I ever get them
